I know some of you don't have the Briathra na Gaeilge books so I've done up some sheets of some of the verbs we have covered and a few new ones. I have these saved as an image. For those of you with the book you will find them on the following pages but you might find them easier to look at here as I have added a little colour (and sí). :) Just click on each one to get a larger image. I am working with an older copy of the book so I hope the pages are the same but if they are not have a search around.

This is the second video to deal with the Aimsir Caite-the Past Tense. This covers a second group of verbs and follows more or less the same rules as the last video but for the We/Sinn part. There is a new ending to be learned but other than that the same rules apply. These verbs are easy to spot. They all have two syllables whereas the verbs in the last video were short one syllable verbs. For the most part they also end in aigh/igh. This is a shorter video as the rules haven't changed much but it is important to understand the differences.

Over the past few weeks we have been looking at some Irish Grammar Rules. While they might sometimes appear a little complicated they tend to follow rules so we have been focussing on learning these rules.
I’ve put a video below on one of the rules we have covered. At the moment we are looking at An Aimsir Caite (Past Tense) and the rules for something called An Chéad Réimniú (the first branch). We are currently looking at what are called Regular Verbs. There are also Irregular Verbs but the good news is that there are only 11 of these and they tend to be used quite a lot meaning they are sometimes easier to remember. 
We are using a book in class called Briathra na Gaeilge that has all of this written out for them but I sometimes find that a video can be really helpful to some children. I will be creating more in the future to help them with the upcoming rules. A good way to use the video is to maybe watch it once an evening for a week for two and hopefully the rule will become something they won’t forget (they might not like to have to listen to me at home as well as at school though). The videos will be there throughout the year (and possibly indefinitely) so it is something they can always refer to if they get stuck.

Any help or encouragement you can give them with this will be great but I understand that for many of you Irish is also a new language so if you are unsure of anything please feel free to send me in a note and I will do my best to help.

The readings from the children's Léigh sa Bhaile are available as an Audio file. This will help the children with their pronunciation. It might also help refresh a few of the parents memories of Irish. The speakers might be a little quick for some of the children so please let me know if this is the case and I will create some myself for the children.
